3 underrated Data Science YouTube channels

In this short blog post, I am going to share the top three Youtube channels I used, to brush up on my Data Science knowledge. Mind you, these three channels are extremely underrated for the quality of content they provide. So please if you are reading my post, please subscribe and support them.

1. Codebasics

I have immense respect for Dhaval sir. I came across this channel when I was trying to find unique data science project ideas to build one during my weekend. I watched this video that honestly helped me get some ideas on starting a project. He also has a few playlists for building varieties of projects from scratch using corporate-level processes. It really helps you see how a project you pick up will play out in the industry. I have made one and added to my portfolio here . Moreover, if you are already in one field of Data Science say for example time series, there are various others domains such as NLP you can explore in this channel. For more such materials, please go ahead and explore the channel.

2. Krish Naik

I came across this channel when I was looking for a live course to follow along to day to day and Krish sir’s playlists on Live Statistics and Live Machine Learning is what I needed. Of course this channel has more to offer and I am just touching the surface, but I felt these resources were a good place to refresh Data Science, if for any reason you might have been in the field a long time ago and need a brush-up. Other content also includes MLOps and Blockchain playlists that are interesting to watch to get a surface-level understanding of the subject. Krish sir is also very active on LinkedIn where he shares his new ventures daily, please do follow him. Also, there are many more technical information that I am not covering, but please visit the channel (subscribe) and take a look at the remaining ones.

3. Tina Huang

What is learning if you don’t have a measuring system in place to measure your progress in learning? I have learned how to absorb data science content (or any study material) from following some productivity or mind hacks videos that Tina has made on her channel. She also has a scoring dashboard that she keeps revisiting every day to track her learning on data science topics. She works as a Data Scientist by day and is quite early in her career. Hence, I relate to her content much more as I see myself in her shoes, and inspires me to take control of my life. Moreover, she does weekly Study with Tina sessions on her other channel where she studies every three days of the week live from 6:30AM - 8AM EST. I found this to be an interesting way to keep yourself accountable to follow your goal through action and not pure motivation. Please check out the channel for more such interesting content.
